Prague is full of very good eateries, gastro pubs and bars. Our TOP TIP is to avoid the main tourist area around THE OLD TOWN SQUARE and WENCESLAS SQUARE where you will pay double the price for beer or glass of wine. Instead explore the back streets and truly discover the real Prague.

When in Prague, we recommend you to try the following restaurants and bars, where you can be sure to find good, honest value for money food and drink.

Staying in our apartments means that you are ideally placed and situated directly in the centre of Prague. In fact you will not find a better location. The restaurants we recommend are based on our own dinning experiences having eaten in them for many years whilst living here.

On the other side of the Vltava river you will find a few really great places, for example CIHELNA or KAMPA PARK (5 minutes from Kampa Apartment), both situated across the CHARLES BRIDGE, on the river Vltava, where you can dine al fresco or be equally comfortable in the lovely ambiance inside.  COWBOYS is situated just below PRAGUE CASTLE and is ideal for drinking and eating. We recommend you visit the roof terraces and garden in the summer. Great atmosphere and lovely setting. You can enjoy great breakfast at SAVOY CAFÉ only 1 minute walk from Kampa Apartments.

Less than 2 minutes walking from Residence Siroka you can find NO STRESS CAFÉ RESTAURANT or CONINO LAMBORGHINI PASTA CAFÉ also serving breakfast, pannini and great coffee. Both are ideally placed for you to start your day.

KOLKOVNA is a traditional Czech Restaurant which serves both local & international dishes. This well known eatery boasts a varied menu of good food and Pilsner Urquel beer. The atmosphere is lively and enjoyable, the service attentive and efficient. It’s sister restaurant LARY FARY (8 minutes walking from apartments) is situated on Dlouha street and serves great food in a fantastic setting. You will also find Olympia restaurant 1 minute from Kampa Apartment. Great Czech food and Pilsner Urquel beer!

If you want elegant dining for that special occasion we recommend PRAVDA and BAROCK on PARIZSKA street. Both are less than 1 minute walking from Residence Siroka apartments, and serves mainly international dishes. These two restaurants are certainly
THE PLACE to be seen and are popular with Prague’s TOP CELEBRITIES and MODELS. Expect to pay top end prices to dine here, although it’s still better value than at home.

Try to avoid the main square and venture off the main tourist areas. The city is really safe both during the day and night.

Finally we recommend the Czech Pilsner Urquell Beer, it really is the best in the world! Table service in Bar’s and Pub’s is the norm!
